Read the wagering before the welcome.

This page explains how common UK bonus terms work. It does not advertise a specific package amount and it does not promise winnings.

What “wagering” means

A wagering — or playthrough — requirement multiplies the bonus (and sometimes the deposit) to show how much you must stake before leftover funds can be withdrawn as cash. A 30× bonus on £20 of free-spin winnings means £600 of qualifying stakes, not £20.

Operators publish the multiplier in the promotion’s terms. If you cannot find it within a few scrolls of the offer headline, treat that as a warning about clarity rather than a bargain.

Game weighting

Not every spin counts equally. Slots often contribute 100%. Blackjack, roulette and some live tables may contribute 10%, 5% or zero. Challenge-style brands such as Duelz sometimes tie progress to specific game modes — check whether those modes sit inside or outside an active bonus wallet.

Max bet while wagering
A cap on stake size during playthrough. Exceeding it can void the bonus. It is usually a few pounds per spin, not the lobby’s maximum.
Expiry
Most offers end after a set number of days. Unused spins and unfinished wagering simply lapse.
Eligibility
New-customer flags, country checks and one-account rules apply. UKGC licensees must also apply safer-gambling checks.

How the six brands tend to present offers

Jackpotjoy often leads with free-spin bundles. That keeps the maths closer to “spin value × wagering” rather than a large matched deposit that balloons the playthrough base.

TigerBet and Star Sports lean toward shorter sportsbook-style welcome copy. The risk is skipping straight to the CTA; the wagering line is usually present but compact.

10Bet commonly uses a familiar match-plus-spins shape. Contribution tables for live games are the section worth opening before you opt in if tables are your main interest.

Kwiff and Duelz use more distinctive promo formats. Unusual can mean engaging — it can also mean the standard mental model of “deposit match at Xx” does not map cleanly. Read the mechanic, then the multiplier.

A quick checklist before you opt in

  • Multiplier on bonus only, or on bonus plus deposit?
  • Which games contribute, and at what percentage?
  • Max bet during wagering?
  • How many days until expiry?
  • Can you decline the offer and play with cash only?

Declining is often the calmer choice when the terms do not fit how you actually play. Back to the operator showcase
